B3 MUSIC | MODEL SV-B3

Sound and Vision

Pictures you can play.

Drop in a sample or an image. Sound and Vision turns it into an instrument you can play in seconds, with the soul of a game console you grew up with. Less like configuring a synth, more like dropping a cartridge into a handheld and hitting a note.

Sound and Vision: the B3 console, a CRT bank over a rack of labelled panels, holding a sustained note

TWO DOORS

Drop anything. It just plays.

SOUND

Drag any audio onto the screen. It is pitch-detected, auto-tuned and mapped across the keyboard before you can reach for a knob. No sample-start hunting, no root-note guessing, and SUSTAIN turns a two-second hit into a chord you can hold forever.

VISION

Drag any image. It becomes a wavetable you scan through: the oscillator hidden inside a photo of a sunset, a scribble, a screenshot. Pictures you can play.

CONSOLES

A console is an instrument, not a skin.

Switching one reskins the whole desk and changes the sound with it: the CRT, the neon, the sample-rate and bit-depth character, all at once.

ConsoleIdentity
NESLight grey desk, charcoal housing, red phosphor.
Game BoyCream desk, maroon keys, pea-green phosphor.
N64Smoke-grey desk, green and yellow pops, green phosphor.
PS1Warm grey desk, jewel blue and gold, light-blue phosphor.
PS2Piano black with gloss ridges, electric-blue phosphor.
B3Aluminium desk, graphite housing, orange-forward neon. The flagship.

TAPE FX

Three slots on the desk.

Bit crusher, reverb, trippy delay, doubler/chorus, flanger/phaser. Load any of them in any order; duplicates allowed. Three of the same is legal.
